For those that missed the recent Crisis Management Conference in Sydney, CATO are giving members the opportunity to participate in an ‘encore’ of the legal session delivered by Aaron Zoanetti, Senior Associate at Pointon Partners (CATO Associate Member).

This session was a highlight of the Crisis Conference given Aaron’s extensive experience in travel related law coupled with his first hand commercial knowledge of our industry.

This is a unique opportunity to understand what an organisations obligations are, particularly in the event of an incident involving a client. Legal concerns arise prior to, during and following an incident - be it from a customer liability perspective during travel or exposure to suppliers due to cancellations because of an unexpected event.

As a travel intermediary, at what point do you become the tour operator? How reliant are you on your DMC or other suppliers for legal protection? How well would your TERMS & CONDITIONS stack up in a court of law? Would they stack up at all?

Join fellow CATO Members to obtain a legal perspective on what is required to ensure that your business (a) meets its duties of care to its customers and (b) mitigates commercial risks which may flow from an incident through effective legal documentation.

The seminar will be followed by a networking opportunity at a nearby venue - details TBC.
